A journey through the poetics of the Italian contemporary dance scene featured at the desks

After its national debut at the 2023 Cagliari edition and its regional consolidation in 2024 Vicenza, Italian Windows has been renewed with a format specially conceived for this 2025 NID Platform in Civitanova Marche. On the mornings of the 3rd and 4th October, at the Palazzina Liberty in Lido Cluana, Civitanova Marche, twelve contemporary dance production organisations from Italy will be presented. The selection, carefully curated, reflects both the polycentrism typical of our country and the plurality of today’s artistic languages. Companies and collectives, organisations and centres of varying scale, emerging artists under 35, as well as established names will be presented to international and national professionals attending NID Platform 2025 through a guided tour of words and video images designed to illustrate their poetics, their histories, and their connection to the territories where they are rooted. Italy’s artistic geography is so rich and diverse, and the Italian Windows thus represent one of NID Platform’s tools for promoting its understanding among international guests. From Sicily to the Alps, passing through the host region of this 2025 edition, Marche, our tour will cross ten Italian regions to showcase the twelve vibrant production organisations selected. The ‘windows’ of Casa Italia are open and ready towelcome the gaze of all those who wish to discover what choreographers and performers are creating across the entire peninsula and the islands.
