Carmela is a choreographic project exploring desire and female identity through the body, considered as a political, sensitive, and relational space. Drawing inspiration from cinematic worlds that blend lyricism and intimacy (Almodóvar, Ozpetek), the work explores pleasure as both a right and a revolutionary act, restoring the body to the centre of emotional experience. On stage, four performers embody a vibrant and collective presence, traversed by tension, surrender, need, and listening. The energy of tango, detached from its codified form, flows through the project as an emotional trace and relational impulse. The creation unfolds as a space for physical and poetic exploration, where eros and fragility intersect and each gesture becomes a potential encounter. Carmela does not tell a story but evokes a world where pleasure is not only physical, but existential.
